For most people, even regular church attenders, going to an new church can be a very uncomfortable exeperience. It should not be that way, because a Church that is made up of true followers of Jesus Christ will love you as He loved us—He suffered and die for us.

If you are wondering about how one should dress for church, just remember you are going to worship God. Worship means to show one is worthy of your devotion. You should do this with your dress. It is not about what you wear, it is about why you where it. Often today many churches tell you to come however you want. In reality you should dress to show respect—that means to give God your best. It is not as important for you to feel comfortable as it is for you to show respect. Let me give and example. Say a man is poor and has only two old pair of pants, but he takes a close look at each one and finds the better pair to wear to church. This is the attitude God wants—to give him your best. Remember going to church is not doing God a favor, it is you acknowledging God for who He is.

Churches found on this web site should have a friendly atmosphere. Usually prior to the services starting, people shake hands and greet one another. Services start out with Singing and everyone has a song book to follow along. After a few songs and special music, announcements are made and an offering is taken.

A visitor does not have to fell obligated to give, though they can if they choose. Don't feel uncomfortable about a church taking an offering. Churches have expenses just like any other organization and they are not funded by the government or business. The church's money comes from it's members.

After the offering and announcements comes the message. The Pastor has prayed and study to bring you the truths of Gods word. It is your duty to listen for your own good. If you are willing to listen with an honest heart you will feel the presence of the Holy Spirit and He will convict of what is right and wrong.

At the end of the service you will have a chance to respond to what the Holy Spirit has done in your life that day. The pastor will ask for everyone to bow their head and close their eyes so people can respond before God and not men. You can then simply go to the pastor and tell him what is on your heart or you can go to the alter to pray.

Hopefully, after all this you will come away feeling fresh and new. You will have an new excitement about life and an ambition to live like never before.
